When I finally met my editor Sara Appino by way of the universe making sure we found each other (A story for another blog!) Sara asked me to write – Why I am writing this book? She asked me to do this so to keep me focused on the intention of the book. I wrote the following and would come back to it often to keep me on track . Thank you Sara for guiding me on this literary journey.
So here it is – Why I have written Jungle Up & Breathe
I have the yearning desire to express how courage and faith can play a role in the life of many who are feeling a need for change. Courage is the state where we dare to get “uncomfortable,” for our greater good. Faith is the place where we have complete trust and confidence in all that is and will be. Can we have one without the other?
My story will tell how courage and faith can play a critical role in true liberation of the “self.”
I invite you to meet the self who is free from attachments and desires and can be happy and joyful with all that is! Do you want to meet the self who can love when hurt or misjudged? Do you want to be the light that can forgive when betrayed?
It takes many virtues to be free of darkness, it is within my story where the higher virtues of self love, forgiveness & compassion are exposed for I dared to make a change, albeit I was a little delusional in the beginning but truly what I had was unbridled faith. I had to trust the “Divine” would have my back, guiding me and protecting me as I danced and fumbled my way back to self.
The mind can’t comprehend the miracles that wait when you surrender.
I want to help my reader see their life from a mystical perspective and rise like the phoenix beyond their pain into their own power with love and grace for all.
