Soul Stones

Coming to you with loving kindness

I grew up walking on the shores of Cape Cod and spent the last 10 years walking along the beaches of Costa Rica.  All through out my life, I would look for treasures from the sea.   I would secretly ask God for a symbol that I was being guided and that my angels are also with me and guiding me.  I would be delighted and sing a soft halleluiah when I found a perfect shell or especially a blue piece of sea glass.

From this I have been inspired to paint on stones and leave them in nature for people to find.   I have painted angels & hearts mostly and have planted them on beaches, on nature trails and on park benches as a symbol of Hope, Faith and Love.  During these times of challenge and adversity we need to be reminded of the higher virtues.

We are in a changing world and there is nowhere to escape to.  It is not just happening to others the change is happening to you.  Embrace it and know the best place to go now is within.  It is time!  Your higher self waits for you to hear the whispers of your soul.

In this time especially, let us choose to follow a spiritual path.  “The spiritual life is not a theory we have to finally live it,” states Richard Rohr, an American Author, Spiritual Writer and Franciscan Friar.   You might wonder, What does a spiritual life look like?  On this journey I have found that love, kindness and forgiveness is the foundation. And in my hunger to truly understand what a spiritual life looks like I turned to ancient scriptures and have found, read and listened to many spiritual teachers and mentors.  Some speak volumes and some not so much.  The Internet is full of “spiritual teachers,” I have shared what has helped me in my last post  “Healing Time on Earth,” and here I will share  books that profoundly changed the way I now look at my life and that which surrounds me.

Remember your Soul is nondenominational, no gender, soul is light, it is your true essence.  Soul is not attached to what is of this earth.  It does not partake in the human drama of life.  Soul is what fills you up with peace and that which brings you peace is the essence of your soul.

BOOKS:

A Spiritual “self help,” book may point you in the right direction and there are hundreds available. Many of the spiritual authors give advise and their interpretation of the “truth,” and the “way.” I have read book after book of many of the popular authors of today. They were helpful without a doubt but what I want to share here is what I truly found liberating and led me on the path of Divine acceptance and understanding.

I have found that going to the source, reading the original or ancient texts and discerning for myself the core message was most helpful. They are to be read slowly and completely contemplating the message for your self. This is in itself a mediation and can lead to liberation from all the drama that suffocates our true essence.
